How To Get From Atlanta International Airport to Downtown

Option 1: MARTA Red/Gold Line Train

Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) offers interlined Red/Gold Line to downtown. Board at Airport Station located in the Domestic Terminal (use The Plane Train people mover to travel westward from other Concourses) and travel to Five Points Station in the heart of downtown Atlanta. This interchange station offers convenient connections to the rest of Atlanta’s rapid transit network.
Consider purchasing Breeze Card, Atlanta’s integrated fare card.

Cheapest & Fastest

Some hotels and private companies offer shuttle bus service from ATL to downtown. Check with Atlanta Airport’s Information page.

Travel time: 15-25 minutes
Undoubtedly, the most expensive option from our list but the most private. In addition to taxis, Uber and Lyft offer private rideshare services from the airport. Expect to pay at least $20-40 for a ride. Note, traffic is notoriously bad in Atlanta.
