  • Unfortunately, there are no public transport bus options directly from Darwin Airport to the CBD. However, catching public transport is possible with a 25 minute (1.8km) walk. Exit the terminal and walk along Henry Wrigley Drive to the bus stop located on McMillans Road. Board theroute 5 bus (running roughly every hour) to Darwin Bus Interchange in the heart of the CBD.
  • Note: Getting TO the airport is slightly easier withroute 5 bus stopping just north of the airport terminal.
  • Consider purchasing theTap and Ride card, Northern Territory’s integrated fare card.
  • Fare for Dariwinbus is $3.00.

Option 2: Taxi / Rideshare

  • Travel time: 15 minutes
  • Undoubtedly, the most expensive option from our list but the most private. In addition to taxis, Uber offers private rideshare services from the airport. Travel time is approximately 15 minutes. Expect to pay about $30-35 AUD for a ride.
