Option 1: AirTrain / Long Island Rail Road (LIRR)

- Connecting all terminals, board AirTrain JFK’s Jamaica Train toJamaica Station – Long Island’s busy intermodal hub. From this massive hub you’ll have two options to head into Manhattan with these commuter trains:
- New York Penn Station via most LIRR Branch lines
- Grand Central Madison Station via most LIRR Branch lines
- There are multiple, frequent departures from Jamaica Station into Manhattan so be sure to listen to announcements and check departure boards before boarding the right train.
- Consider purchasing OMNY Card, the New York metropolitan area’s integrated fare card to the city.

Option 2: AirTrain / NYC Subway
- Travel time: 1 hour 20 minutes
- Connecting all terminals, board AirTrain JFK Howard Beach Train toHoward Beach-JFK Airport Station and transfer to the NYC Subway and board the A (Eighth Avenue Express) subway. The A Train first heads to lower Manhattan then northbound offering plenty of stations to disembark at throughout Manhattan.

- Board AirTrain JFK Jamaica Train toHoward Beach-JFK Station – Long Island’s intermodal hub. This is a large, busy station. To access the NYC Subway you’ll have to walk to the other side to Sutphin Boulevard–Archer Avenue–JFK Airport Station and board the E (Queens Boulevard Express/Eighth Avenue Local) and head into Manhattan.
