Option 1: OC Transpo Train
- Travel time: 30 minutes
- OC Transpo’s newly completed O-Train extension to Ottawa International Airport has been a long anticipated project. Now that the train extends to Ottawa Airport, travellers can now ride from YOW to downtown Ottawa in about 30 minutes. Unfortunately, you have to change trains twice along the journey to downtown Ottawa. In essence, ride Lines 4 then 2 followed by 1 to reach downtown Ottawa.
- Starting at Airport Station take4 Airport Link to South Keys Station. Change trains with a very convenient cross platform walk to connect to 2 Trillium Line and ride to the northern terminus at Bayview Station. Finally, ride 1 Confederation Line eastwards towards downtown Ottawa. There is no central train station in Ottawa butParliament Station (located a block away from Parliament Hill) is your best bet along with Rideau Station next to the famous ByWard Market, Major’s Hill Park and Rideau Canal. Find more information about O-Train 4 Airport Link here.
- Fare is $3.80.

Option 2: Taxi / Rideshare
- Travel time: 30 minutes
- Undoubtedly, the most expensive option from our list but the most private. In addition to taxis, Uber and Lyft offer private rideshare services from the airport. Travel time is approximately 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.
- Head to the designated pick up areas at Level 1 Arrivals – specifically:
- Taxi: Outside by main centre door
- Rideshare: Pillars 12 & 13 (furthest from the Terminal)
- Expect to pay about $25-40 for a ride.
