How To Get From Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport To The City Centre

Option 1: RATP 350 / 351 Bus Option 2: RoissyBus Option 3: RER B Train Option 3: Taxi / Rideshare

Option 1: RATP 350 / 351 Bus

  • Travel time: 40 minutes
  • Looking for some slow travel to discover Paris just like a resident? Considering RATP bus routes 350 and 351 from Paris CDG to central Paris. These buses are primarily for staff working at the airport. The differences between these two routes are:
  • 350 travels from CDG along Autoroute 1 to Porte de la Chapelle Station on the Paris Metro north of the city centre. 350 is a more direct, express option;
  • 351 travels from CDG through industrial areas to Nation Station a major Metro and RER interchange hub. 351 is a local bus service with frequent stops.
  • It’s important to note that neither of these buses go into central Paris (abide the tourist sections) but are on the eastern verge.
  • Fare is €2.15 for either service.
  • Cheapest

Option 2: RoissyBus

  • Travel time: 1 hour
  • Whilst neither the slowest nor the cheapest, Roissybus occupies a unique middle ground for connectivity to direct connection from one of Charle de Gaulle Airport’s many terminals (T1, T2, T3) and sub-terminals (2A thru to 2G). Departing from each terminal at CDG then continuing express into central Paris this service runs every 15 minutes and every 30 minutes in the evenings.
  • Arriving curbside (corner of rue Scribe and rue Aubar) at Opéra Station (Metro and RER connections available). If you are looking for an express way to get from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport to central Paris, RoissyBus is a good option.
  • The RoissyBus occupies a sweet spot if you’re looking to view Paris and the suburbs by transport bus and want a convenient option that relieves the stress of travelling by RER (which can become very busy at rush hour). RoissyBus is just for travellers with luggage going to and from Paris CDG Airport into the city centre. Unfortunately there are no racks on the bus for storage.
  • More information here and you can book with Paris je t’aime – Paris’ Tourism Board.
  • Cost is €16.60 (€14.50 with Navigo app)

Option 3: RER B Train

This regional rail line departs from Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2 TGV Station (with very convenient TGV connections throughout France and Benelux) stops at and Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 1 Station (for those arriving from Terminal 1). Line B travels from CDG through central Paris. The most significant station for travellers is the very grand Gare du Nord Station and Chatelet-Les Halles Station (Paris Metro’s largest and busiest interchange hub). Both stations form transport connections to your final destination.
  • If you are looking for the best way to get from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport to city centre Paris, RER B is your best option. It is, however, important to remember that Line B is not an express train so this train will be making frequent stops.Cost is €11.80.
