Option 1: Airport Link T8 Train

  • Travel time: 13 minutes
  • Running every 10 minutes,Airport Link is an express bus service from Sydney Airport to Central Station and looping through the heart of Sydney’s Central Business District with additional stops at Circular Quay and Town Hall Stations. Board at either the International Airport or Domestic Airport Stations connected to their respective terminals.
  • Consider purchasing anOpal Card, Sydney and New South Wales’ integrated fare card to the city.
  • Fare for Airport Link is $20.28 AUD ($21.54 on peak).

Option 2: Transport NSW 420 Bus / T8 Train

  • Travel time: 30 minutes
  • You can avoid the airport surcharge and board420 Bus (available from both International and Domestic Terminals) and catch the Airlink Link train at Mascot Station. If you are travelling with luggage then this route is not recommended.
  • Consider purchasing anOpal Card, Sydney and New South Wales’ integrated fare card to the city. 
  • Fare for Transport NSW is $3.20 (Bus), $4.20 (Train) AUD (on peak) and;
  •  $2.24 (Bus), $2.94 (Train) (off peak).

Option 3: Shuttle Bus

Option 4: Taxi / Rideshare

  • Travel time: 35 minutes
  • Undoubtedly, the most expensive option from our list but the most private. In addition to taxis, Uber and DiDi offer private rideshare services from the airport. Expect to pay about $45-55 AUD for a ride.
